TRICHROMA: FIRST LIGHT
Attendee Agreement, Assumption of Risk & Headphone Consent
1. Voluntary Attendance & Participation
I understand that Trichroma: First Light is an outdoor music, camping, arts, and community event held at a campground. My attendance and participation are voluntary.
I understand that an outdoor event cannot be made completely risk-free and that conditions may change throughout the event. I am responsible for using reasonable judgment, paying attention to my surroundings, following posted rules and staff instructions, and choosing whether I wish to participate in any particular activity.
2. Known & Foreseeable Event Risks
I understand that attendance may involve risks including, but not limited to:
- Uneven, wet, muddy, rocky, grassy, slippery, or unlit terrain;
- Darkness and limited nighttime visibility;
- Rain, wind, heat, cold, storms, and changing weather conditions;
- Camping, tents, stakes, ropes, campsites, and temporary structures;
- Electrical cords, generators, lighting, speakers, staging, and production equipment;
- Crowds, dancing, physical activity, and contact with other people;
- Vehicles, delivery traffic, parking areas, and golf carts;
- Amplified music, loud sound, prolonged sound exposure, and vibration;
- Food, beverages, allergens, insects, plants, wildlife, and other outdoor conditions;
- Fire or heat sources where permitted by the venue;
- Acts, mistakes, or conduct of other attendees, vendors, contractors, performers, or third parties;
- Loss, theft, or damage involving personal belongings; and
- Other risks reasonably associated with attending an outdoor campground music event.
3. Assumption of Risk
I knowingly and voluntarily accept the inherent and reasonably foreseeable risks associated with attending and participating in Trichroma: First Light, including the risks described above.
If I encounter a condition or activity that I believe is unsafe, I understand that I may stop participating, leave the area, and notify event staff.
4. Release of Liability
I understand that this section affects important legal rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by Wisconsin law, I voluntarily release and agree not to hold Human Artistic Collaborations, LLC, its owners, employees, authorized volunteers, and agents liable for claims for personal injury or property damage resulting from ordinary negligence in connection with the event activities, conditions, and risks specifically described in this agreement.
I understand that I am giving up the right to bring certain negligence claims that would otherwise be available to me.
This release does not apply to reckless or intentional conduct, or to any liability that cannot lawfully be released.
5. Sound & Hearing Safety
I understand that First Light includes amplified music and silent-disco programming. Exposure to loud sound for extended periods can contribute to temporary or permanent hearing damage.
I am responsible for choosing my own listening level, taking breaks when needed, increasing my distance from loud sound when appropriate, and using hearing protection if I choose.
6. Health & Emergency Assistance
I am responsible for considering my own health, physical condition, medications, allergies, and other personal needs when deciding how to participate in the event.
If event staff reasonably believes that I am experiencing a medical emergency, I authorize staff to contact emergency medical services or seek reasonable emergency assistance on my behalf. I understand that HAC cannot guarantee the availability or response time of medical personnel in a campground setting.
7. Personal Property
I understand that I am responsible for reasonable care of my own vehicle, campsite, phone, wallet, equipment, clothing, camping supplies, and other belongings. I acknowledge the ordinary risk of loss, theft, weather damage, or accidental damage associated with bringing personal property to an outdoor campground event.
8. Frequency 528 Silent-Disco Headphone Agreement
I understand that silent-disco headphones used at First Light are provided through Frequency 528 for temporary use during the event.
I agree to:
- Use the headphones reasonably and only for their intended purpose;
- Keep reasonable possession of the headset issued to me;
- Not intentionally alter, open, submerge, misuse, or damage the equipment;
- Bring malfunctioning equipment to event staff rather than attempting to repair it myself;
- Control my own listening volume and reduce the volume or discontinue use if I experience discomfort; and
- Return the headset to the designated return location when required.
I understand that I may be responsible for the reasonable replacement cost of equipment that I fail to return or that I intentionally or negligently damage beyond ordinary wear, up to the replacement amount disclosed by event staff or the equipment provider.
9. Event Rules & Conduct
I agree to follow applicable laws, campground rules, posted safety requirements, fire restrictions, parking and vehicle instructions, quiet-hour requirements, headphone-return procedures, and reasonable safety directions given by authorized event or venue staff.
I understand that conduct creating a material safety risk to myself or others, or serious violations of event or campground rules, may result in removal from the event.
10. Understanding & Voluntary Agreement
I confirm that I have had the opportunity to read this agreement before signing it. I understand that I may ask event staff questions before signing and that I should not sign if I do not understand or agree to its terms.
If any provision of this agreement is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions are intended to remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

This form is intended for attendees age 18 or older. If you are under 18, do not submit this adult agreement. Please speak with event staff.
